Nage-Waza (Throwing Techniques)

Throwing Technique

Te-Waza (Hand Techniques)

Te-waza are jujitsu techniques that use the hands and arms to off-balance and throw an opponent by controlling their motion and weak points. Without using strength, these moves rely on precise grips, twists, and redirections to make the opponent fall with minimal effort.
Throwing Technique

Koshi-Waza (Hip Techniques)

Koshi-waza are jujitsu techniques that use the hips to lift and throw an opponent by shifting their weight and rotating them. Moves like o-goshi and harai-goshi rely on balance and timing rather than strength, making them powerful and efficient.
Leg throw

Ashi-Waza (Leg Techniques)

Ashi-waza are jujitsu techniques that use the legs and feet to trip or off-balance an opponent by sweeping, hooking, or blocking their legs. Moves like de-ashi-barai and o-uchi-gari rely on timing and movement instead of strength, making them efficient and powerful.
Sacrifice Throwing Technique

Sutemi-Waza (Sacrifice Techniques)

Sutemi-waza are jujitsu techniques where a practitioner sacrifices their own balance to throw an opponent using momentum and positioning. Moves like tomoe-nage and sumi-gaeshi rely on control and timing rather than strength, making them unexpected and effective.
